Two people hurt in overnight NYC shootings, cops say


Two men were hurt in separate overnight shootings across the city, cops said.

The violence began around 11:30 p.m. Friday, when a man, 38, was shot in the stomach in Brooklyn during a dispute on East 21 Street, near Cortelyou Road, cops said.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said. Authorities did not immediately know what sparked the shooting.

A couple of hours later, around 12:20 a.m. Saturday, a 34-year-old man was shot in the leg during a sidewalk robbery outside a supermarket on Broadway near Dyckman Street in Washington Heights, police said

That victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, an NYPD spokesman said. Police are looking for four men who sped off in a gray BMW.
