Steph Curry may not be living up to his reputation as the greatest shooter in NBA history on the floor so far this season, but he’s proven he hasn’t lost his touch.
The Warriors provided an inside look into Saturday’s practice when the two-time NBA MVP made 105 3-pointers in a row.
“Count the Makes,” the Warriors captioned the viral video, which shows Curry make 102 baskets from behind the arc after he sunk another three before the camera started rolling. “5+ minutes without a miss. Stephen. Curry.”
The 32-year-old holds the Warriors’ franchise record for 3-pointers made and set a league record for most consecutive regular season (157) and playoff (90) games with a made 3-pointer. However. in the Warriors’ first two games of the 2020-21 season, Curry has gone 4-for-20 from 3-point range as Golden State has struggled as a team from deep.
“I heard about it, [Warriors coach Bruce Fraser] told me after it happened,” Golden State coach Steve Kerr said. “I think his previous record was 77, I asked [Fraser] that specifically. That’s insane, it’s insane, it’s probably a World Record, I don’t know if the Guinness Book of World Records still exists, that was one of my favorite books growing up. If it still exists, that should go in the book, because we have video evidence now apparently.”
