Gary Springer — son of Hollywood PR great John Springer — says that Marilyn Monroe babysat for him, and his first job was walking Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward’s dog.
On the “The Alarmists: Conspiracy Theories and Coffe” podcast, Springer — now a movie publicist — said that the tragic actress would call by their Upper East Side apartment and took Gary and his sisters out for walks in Central Park.
Meanwhile, he said, “When I was in first grade . . . I used to go out my seventh-floor window, go down the fire escape two floors, go in through the kitchen, take the dog, take the dog around the block for a walk before [I went to school]. That was Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward’s dog.”
