Comey follows Biden’s lead in dodging questions at Senate hearing

Charlotte, NC – On Wednesday, former FBI Director James Comey testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The testimony was related to the Russia investigation, which has turned out to be a political operation and a hoax based on recently declassified documents. Comey has tried to maintain innocence, but his testimony tells a different story.

In interactions on Wednesday, Comey tried to say that he did not know who had filled out the FISA warrants that were used to spy on the Trump campaign. Multiple times he  said that he did not know what was going on in the investigation. Essentially, he tried to play dumb.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) did not accept this action from Comey. He said that Comey was deliberately corrupt or woefully incompetent. You can see the comments in the video below.

Except, Comey knew a lot more than he was sharing on Wednesday. He knew that the person who was relied upon to build the case was known to be a risk. That was known and reported to the FBI well before the Russia hoax.

Comey claimed that he was not briefed on the situation. He claimed he did not remember getting a document letting him know. Unfortunately, there’s only so far that playing this game of the unknown will go for Comey. There’s more details that tie him to this.

Recent documents show that former President Obama was briefed on the situation. Along with that it implicated the FBI, the same FBI that James Comey was leading. Is Comey essentially saying he had no leadership of the organization? That’s concerning.

Also implicated in this will is Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and many others. Of course, Comey did a great job protecting his former boss and other key Democrats. I had no doubt that he would.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) quickly called out the fact that Comey seemed to be clueless. He said that he made a lot of accusations about President Trump, even though he knew nothing about the investigation that he ran.

Mike Lee rips into James Comey:”How can you now as a private citizen and former FBI Director show up and then speculate freely regarding any alleged ties between President Putin and President Trump… You don’t seem to know ANYTHING about this investigation that you ran.” pic.twitter.com/fOnr4M2J2I

Some Senators are ready to pursue criminal charges against Comey for his actions. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said Comey testified he did nothing to investigate the CIA’s referral of wrongdoing, but did authorize an investigation of Trump based on false information. False information that Comey knew was false.

Those actions should be criminal as Hawley suggests. Big names are implicated in this situation and the details of the Durham probe are needed. The biggest concern is that the details of that investigation may not be released before the election.

The debate that was not a debate at all

The first of three scheduled Presidential debates happened on Tuesday night, and it did not disappoint. We expected some fiery exchanges, deeply personal attacks, but there were a few surprises.  President Trump came out swinging immediately in the debate. He did not give anyone time to settle in, and it caught both Joe Biden and moderator Chris Wallace off guard.
